[HELMI_LEGAL_ENTITY not set] ("we") runs Helmi Historia. This is what we do with your personal data. Contact: [HELMI_SUPPORT_EMAIL not set].
What we collect
- Account: your email address, a salted hash of your password (never the password), or your Google account identifier, email and name if you sign in with Google.
- Your games: the orders, messages and scenarios you write, and your saved games.
- Billing status: your plan and subscription dates. Payment details (card, address) are collected by Polar and never reach us.
- Usage: which AI model was used, how much, and when, to count your allowance. This does not include the text of your game.
- Technical: your IP address and browser in server logs, and session records, to run and secure the Service and handle abuse. The address you signed up from is kept with your account, to limit how many accounts one network can create.
AI model providers
To write a turn, our servers send the relevant game state and your orders and messages to an AI model provider, through our own gateway. Today that is: [HELMI_AI_PROVIDERS not set]. They process it under their own terms, so do not put into the game anything you would not want a service provider to process. We do not send your email or name to them, and we do not use your game content to train models of our own.
Who else receives data
Polar (payments), Google (if you use Google sign-in), Cloudflare (our network, and the Turnstile check on the sign-up page), our email sender, our hosting provider, and the map servers we load map tiles from (OpenFreeMap and Amazon Web Services; they see your IP address and the map area you view). We do not sell your personal data and we use no advertising or analytics trackers.
Cookies
One cookie, helmi_session, keeps you signed in (up to 30 days). Your language and map settings are kept in your browser. Nothing else.
How long we keep it
While you have an account. If your trial or plan ends we keep your saved games for 90 days (we email you before they are deleted). If you delete your account (account page) we close it at once, end your subscription, and delete your account data and saved games; backups are overwritten within a few weeks.
Your rights
You can download your data and delete your account yourself from the account page. For anything else (access, correction, objection, complaints) email [HELMI_SUPPORT_EMAIL not set]. Depending on where you live you also have the rights the law gives you, such as under the GDPR or the CCPA, and may complain to your data protection authority.
Children
The Service is not for anyone under 16.
Changes
We may update this policy and will tell you if the change matters.
